Driving is overrated, let transit do the work! Whether it’s commuting, shopping, or exploring local spots, the Bay of Quinte communities have options to help get you there.

Belleville

Belleville transit services the community ​with reliable, accessible transportation. Our ​buses run regular routes as well as on ​demand, special event and trolley routes, ​and specialized mobility transit.

Quinte West

Quinte Transit by bus provides public transit within the Trenton ward of the City of Quinte West, as well as routes that go from Trenton to Belleville and include routes to Prince Edward County and Brighton. 

Brighton

Quinte Transit provides on-demand service from Brighton to Quinte West. You will need to call their booking department  for scheduling. 

Greater Napanee

Deseronto Transit is a fixed route system connecting the Town of Greater Napanee, Town of Deseronto, Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, and the City of Belleville.

Accessible Transit

Quinte Transit: Serving Quinte West, Brighton, Prince Edward County, and Belleville, Quinte Transit operates a fleet of 4 vans and 5 buses, all of which are wheelchair accessible.

Belleville Transit: Belleville’s public transit system provides accessible services, including the Mobility Bus, which accommodates wheelchairs and scooters up to 36 inches (90 cm) by 48 inches (120 cm).

Deseronto Transit: Connecting Deseronto with Belleville, Greater Napanee, and Shannonville, Deseronto Transit operates a fleet of four mini-bus vehicles, all of which are wheelchair accessible.

Work in Quinte as a division of The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities. 

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with. 

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
