Furball's Choice is looking to hire an Experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our team! We are a small, family owned business located in Belleville, ON. We offer a friendly, relaxed work environment with room for growth and advancement.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who is possesses strong customer services and is outgoing, kind and compassionate. They will need to be a motivated and quick learner who is detail oriented and organized with the information provided to them. Experience working within the pet industry and experience working with raw pet food is required.
Our business develops strong, trusting relationships with our clients who rely on us to provide them with accurate information and advice pertaining to the health and wellness of their pets and their nutrition.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with raw pet food.
- Experienced with 5+ years of working in retail customer service or the pet industry.
- Friendly and positive attitude is a must.
- Outgoing personality, approachable and naturally motivated.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and maintain professional behaviour.
- Be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Have a valid drivers license or reliable transportation to work.
- Read, write, type and speak fluent English.
- Open to working some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Provide a clean criminal record check in order to be bondable and insurable.
- Looking for long term full time employment ( 3 - 5+ years).

- Our ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills and an outgoing personality. We are looking for someone who can hold a conversation and develop strong relationships with customers. They must be able to communicate well with team members and management, be sufficient in problem solving and time management.
- Comfortable and open to handling raw and dried meat products (beef, pork, chicken, liver, ect.)
- Comfortable working with all types of pets, including large breed dogs.
- Open to learning about raw pet food and able to educate clients about pet care, animal health, holistic health products, animal wellness and basic animal nutrition.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift 40lbs repetitively.
- This position is for full time availability only, not suitable for students.
Full-time hours: 25 - 35 hours per week
Shop Hours :
Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday & Sunday 10:00am - 4:00pm
