  • Acknowledge walk-in customers immediately upon their arrival
  • Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, checking vehicle maintenance records, examining service schedules
  • Prepares repair orders (RO) by described symptoms and problems, enter RO into service database, obtain approval signatures
  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and documents, explaining provisions and exclusions.
  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, labor and calculate customer's payment
  • Service customers with the utmost professionalism and make a special effort to ensure that every visit is an enjoyable experience
  • Maintains customer files by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer's approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns and arranging towing
  • Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
  • Coordinate/Communicate with Parts Manager (Ordering parts and/or sublet services as required to satisfy client requirements)
  • Keep shop Manager informed of any problems regarding shop or customer related matters
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety

Job Requirements:

  • Highly effective communicator. Strong telephone skills, customer communication
  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer savvy a must.
  • Experience in a sales or customer service role involving automotive service, tires, parts and accessories
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Some knowledge of tools and equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work unsupervised and independently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Automotive service knowledge is an asset but not required (training provided)
  • Time Scheduler an asset
  • Pleasant and friendly workplace attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to take direction from a variety of different departments and able to prioritize according to importance
  • Bilingual would be an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
