- Acknowledge walk-in customers immediately upon their arrival
- Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, checking vehicle maintenance records, examining service schedules
- Prepares repair orders (RO) by described symptoms and problems, enter RO into service database, obtain approval signatures
- Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and documents, explaining provisions and exclusions.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, labor and calculate customer's payment
- Service customers with the utmost professionalism and make a special effort to ensure that every visit is an enjoyable experience
- Maintains customer files by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer's approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns and arranging towing
- Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
- Coordinate/Communicate with Parts Manager (Ordering parts and/or sublet services as required to satisfy client requirements)
- Keep shop Manager informed of any problems regarding shop or customer related matters
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Job Requirements:
- Highly effective communicator. Strong telephone skills, customer communication
- Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer savvy a must.
- Experience in a sales or customer service role involving automotive service, tires, parts and accessories
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Some knowledge of tools and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work unsupervised and independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Automotive service knowledge is an asset but not required (training provided)
- Time Scheduler an asset
- Pleasant and friendly workplace attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to take direction from a variety of different departments and able to prioritize according to importance
- Bilingual would be an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
