Overview
The Dining Room Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The ideal candidate will oversee dining room operations, maintain high standards of service, and ensure that all food service protocols are followed.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily dining room operations to ensure smooth service.
- Train, mentor, and manage dining room staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Assist in food preparation and presentation to uphold quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of supervising experience in a dining or restaurant setting
- Proficiency in POS systems.
- Strong background in food service, food handling, and kitchen operations
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability in customer service and effective communication
- Prior experience in food preparation and cooking preferred
- Bartending or barista experience considered an asset
- Hotel or hospitality industry experience a bonus
