We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in Belleville, Ontario. Reporting to the Business Controller, the successful candidate is responsible for the full financial reporting requirement for our various brands in Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of month end reporting and analysis of actual results compared to budgeted/forecasted targets and related reconciliations.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
- Prepare financial reports/analysis to help decision making and help unit to control operation expenses.
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required.
- Operating expenses analysis and follow up to ensure data accuracy and to maximize profitability.
- Cost centre structure design and link to the ERP (SAP)
- Create and maintain cost centres.
- Maintain and report on depreciation schedules.
- Determine volume discounts & rebates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Financial Accounting
- Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with people and situations within and outside the organization.
- High degree of discretion and diplomacy to deal with sensitive/confidential information
- Excellent data management and analytical skills
- Attention to detail to deliver quality work
- Strong organizational skills required to identify priority actions, meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, elevate critical issues and follow up
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Previous experience working with SAP operating and financial systems preferred.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
