Position Overview:
As the Painter Lead Hand, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating painting projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include organizing job sites, scheduling workflows, ordering materials, preparing for jobs, and assigning tasks to painters. You will be involved in both on-tool and off-tool work, ensuring that each project runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Job Site Organization: Ensure job sites are well-organized and maintained for safety and efficiency.
- Scheduling and Workflow: Develop and manage painting project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
- Material Ordering: Order and manage materials and supplies required for projects, maintaining inventory and ensuring timely procurement.
- Job Preparation: Prepare job sites for painting, including surface preparation and setup.
- Task Assignment: Assign and oversee tasks for painters, providing guidance and support as needed.
- On-Tool Work: Actively participate in painting tasks, demonstrating high skill levels and workmanship.
- Off-Tool Work: Handle administrative and logistical tasks, such as documentation, reporting, and client communication.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a leader of a painting crew on residential and commercial jobs.
- Has demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
