• Manufacture product (both finished goods and subassemblies) as directed by the Production Manager
• Complete all required paperwork to ensure that documentation is completed accurately and timely
• Review work-in-process or finished goods being manufactured to confirm that all aspects of the manufacturing process meet or exceeds quality standards
• Accurately read blueprints and drawings
• Handling material such as; Glass, Rubber, Metal Extrusions (Frames, Panels)
• Gather the material as directed by the bill of material (BOM)
• Safely operate machines within the department including; Cut Saws, Mitre Saws, Band Saws, Punch Press, Crimper etc.
• Locate necessary material need from the bill of materials
• Process materials as instructed; cutting, drilling, grinding, milling, sanding, etc.
• Assemble product with the material as directed by the BOM
• Skilled in operating various small power tools, etc. that would commonly be found in a job shop
• Ensure Job packages are updated for actual material used and accurate events affecting either the labour or the materials used are recorded on the job traveler
• Accurately filling out time cards daily
• Ensure that all safety recommendations for the individual, the process, or the workplace are adhered to at all times
• Knows, understands and follows the Company Employment Standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Any other Job duties and tasks within the production realm
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience in a related field
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Must be able to communicate well in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to suggest change and various improvements
• Ability to read and use calibrated measuring equipment such as; tape measure, Vernier caliper, angle protractor.
• Mechanical/Technical aptitude
• Must have a high level of accuracy and a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a production environment and following all safety policies and procedures
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds + with a team lift
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Starting wage is $21.95 / hour with your first increase at 3 months and every 6 months after for 2 years. Professional development, training and education reimbursement opportunities are available.
