Production Operator

We are looking for a fourth person to join our team. We are a small team looking for the right person to help us out with our daily duties throughout the summer and into the fall at our location in Napanee, ON. The job entails the following mix of duties and responsibilities, and will likely evolve over time, as we are a small business, and things are prone to changing on a regular basis:

• Learning to operate a wild goose canning line with proficiency
• Weighing, packing and stacking product.
• Packing orders and using fulfilment software with proficiency.
• Repetitive tasks that involve physical labour.
• Cleaning and sanitation of brewery equipment.
• Using pump carts and other equipment to move supplies around.

Qualifications necessary:

• This job requires no qualifications.
• Extra consideration will be give to candidates who have experience with Wild Goose canning lines, or brewery experience.
• Extra consideration will be given to a person who has interests or experience that may be an asset (for example, experience as a social media marketer, engineering, carpentry, machining, general fixing things) that may be of general use in a small business setting.

Things to consider:

• While the tasks that are required of this person will be repetitive and boring on their own, we like to create a fun work environment, and extra consideration will be given to candidates who like to read, listen to music, watch TV and movies and have lots of interests outside of work. We do end up chatting a lot at work while we complete our tasks, and this is always made easier if there are common interests.
• This work environment is a small team, and while there is training, there will be less supervision than in regular job settings. We are looking for someone with autonomy, who can understand systems and self authorize to complete tasks, yet can consider when to check in with the group.

Wage, hours and fringe benefits:

• $20-$25 per hour based on experience, plus yearly raise guaranteed. No deduction for training period.
• Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm
