PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Reporting directly to the Recreation Programmer, the Yoga Instructor provides instruction, leadership, and administration for the City’s yoga fitness programs.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the safety and supervision of the participants and for ensuring the rules and regulations set out by the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department and/or outside organizations are followed.
- Represent the City with professionalism by following all of the Staff Policies and Procedures set out by the Department.
- Must be knowledgeable of City Programs and have strong public relation skills.
- Responsible for providing instruction and leadership for designated fitness program.
- Responsible for on-going evaluations and feedback of the programs to the Program Supervisor.
- Responsible for the completion of attendance and any required paperwork to effectively administrate this program as per the Department Procedures.
- Assume the responsibility for assessing and responding in an emergency situation and completing the necessary reports.
- Attend all Training and staff meetings as scheduled and keep required certifications current.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, at minimum
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' Certification from a WSIB recognized organization.
- Any yoga certification
- Experience working in the fitness industry
