Want to make some extra cash before the holidays? Like the outdoors? Already take walks during the week? Why not make some additional income in doing so. Gorilla Property Services is looking for an individual to work an hour to an hour and a half a day 3 days a week in October and 2 days a week in November doing litter pick up at the Home Depot located at 210 Bell Blvd in Belleville (Job must be completed prior to 6am). This is a proof of concept for Home Depot and therefore it is only for 2 months at this time. The job ends at the end of November, but could carry on if Home Depot decides to pursue this further (with which you wuold be a good candidate to carry this on for us if you wish). Your job will entail walking around the property picking up litter that has been left on the ground, as well as doing a sweep of the parking lot.
Scope outline:
- Must be completed prior to 6am
- Litter pickup to be performed at the specified frequency for all areas within the Home Depot property line, including, but not limited to: all landscaped areas, trees, exterior parking lot, curbs, front, sides and back of the store, receiving docks and driveways, around the compactor.
- Upon completion of the litter pick-up, all collected litter will be taken off-site and disposed of leaving the site neat, clean and free of garbage, following every visit.
- Contractor must use proper tools and protective gear (steel toe shoes, gloves, broom, prongs, biodegradable bags, etc.) to perform the Services safely.
Out of Scope:
- The removal and disposal offsite of large debris and large items (i.e., items that do not fit in a 30” by 30” litter bag) such as (but not limited to) desks, mattress, tires, wood, tiles, etc.
- Hazardous Waste (needles etc)
- The above are not part of the scope of the litter pick up service, are considered large debris and hazardous waste pick up respectively and a separate request and WO is to be made to manage these services outside of this POC
There may be other requests from time to time that need to be completed. If out of the normal course of work while on site, additional pay will be made
Please note that you will need to have your own transportation to the lot.
The sweepings from the lot will need to be held onto by the successful candidate until the supervisor comes out to visit which is bi-weekly.
You must have a phone and the ability to use the phone to check in at the site upon arrival, take pictures, and check out of the site when the job is complete.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual 2-3 days a week depending on the month. Days cannot be consecutive. Work week may consist of Monday, Wed, Friday and Sunday Wednesday, Friday
